This is a series of sound compositions that utilize silences of varying lengths to create gaps, or lacunae, as part of the listening experience. A concept derived from the work of John Cage, whose seminal piece “4’33″” first explored the use of silence as a musical construct, the intention here is to have the listener augment the experience of a composition by including these gaps as areas for contemplation on the act of listening.
